QPoint SHARE OF KEYWORD
Share of Keyword (“SOK”): the consumer’s point of view
When a consumer arrives on an e-commerce website and performs a keyword search (for example “Smartphone”, “55-inch TV”, “Washing machine”, “Sore throat”, etc.—that is, the “keywords”), the site responds with a SERP (“Search Engine Result Page”), i.e., a page showing the search results.
The site then proposes a list of products that match the searched keyword: this is the analysis universe of the new SOK module.
Our crawlers capture the first twenty products returned by the search, with all related attributes (brand, model, features, price, discount, etc.) and assign each product a position in the list (“ranking”) from 1 to 20. For each keyword and for each target site, the module therefore records the products shown along with their ranking. The QPoint user can then assess the ranking position of their own products. SOK provides a keyword profile (“identity card”), which is evaluated and analyzed on a daily basis.
Some features of QPoint SOK:
- full customization of keywords by the customer
- profiles (“identity cards”) with automatic insights
- full integration within QPoint, including Searches and Analysis
For Manufacturers
Appearing in the top positions on an e-commerce site’s SERP means increasing the probability of selling the product.
That’s why SOK is aimed at manufacturing companies, which will be able to:
- keep track of the visibility of their brands
- verify compliance with any sponsorship agreements made with the sites themselves. Companies, in fact, pay to obtain privileged positions in response to consumers’ searches.
All of this in a simple and immediate way, in true QPoint style.
Q&A
Q.: Is keyword monitoring continuous?
A.: Yes: monitoring can run at the frequency chosen by the customer, up to hourly frequency.
Q.: Is the panel of target sites predefined?
A.: Absolutely not. The panel of target sites—just like the keyword list—is fully customizable.
Q.: Can I study and analyze the average ranking of my products?
A.: Certainly. QPoint SOK is perfectly integrated with QPoint’s Analysis engine. Thanks to the “Average SOK Ranking” measure, together with all the other existing ones, it will be possible to evaluate very precisely the position of your products in the SERPs of the target sites.
