In-Store Support

In-Store Field Support: QBerg staff work at your retail locations

Managing retail locations across the region requires people, not just data. If you don’t have your own field network—or if it’s not large enough to cover all the retail chains and areas you need—QBerg’s field division goes into stores and does the work for you: merchandising, in-store promoters, shelf maintenance, ad hoc data collection, mystery shopping, and surveys. You delegate the fieldwork; we carry it out where it’s needed.

This is the essence of QPlace, the QBerg division dedicated to point-of-sale support services. It’s not software to be used on your own, but a turnkey field service: we’re the ones who staff the store and carry out the agreed-upon tasks, with the same care we put into collecting market data every day. Hence our tagline: people, beyond data.

In a nutshell: We don’t just give you a tool and leave your sales team to figure things out on its own. We station our field specialists at your retail locations and handle the work ourselves—from restocking shelves to inventory tracking, from promotions to mystery shopping.

QBerg’s field division: over 100 people throughout the country

QPlace is built on a real-world operational structure: over one hundred field specialists covering the entire country, supported by a team of analysts. It is the same organization that powers QBerg’s price and product assortment data—except that here, we make it available to take action within the store, not just to observe it.

This extensive reach allows us to respond quickly and at competitive prices to a wide variety of needs, from one-time promotions to ongoing campaigns across hundreds of retail locations. You don’t have to build a network of merchandisers or promoters—you can activate it when and where you need it.

What We Do for You at the Store

We tailor every service to your needs, but the scope of the tasks our field staff perform directly in-store is well-defined and proven:

  • Merchandising and Shelf Management — restocking, product organization and visibility, adherence to the planogram, and management of display areas and POP materials.
  • In-store promoter — works at the retail location to support sales, conduct promotional activities, and present products to consumers.
  • Ad hoc surveys and monitoring — shelf availability, prices, promotions, product assortments, and specific situations observed by our field staff.
  • Mystery shopping — an undercover assessment of the shopping experience, service, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Interviews, ethnographic analyses, and surveys — directly listening to shoppers and store employees to gain insights into behaviors and perceptions that go beyond the numbers.

How a Custom Field Project Is Developed

There is no one-size-fits-all package. Every project—whether it’s a commercial, a short-form, mid-form, or long-form video—is designed in collaboration with you based on three factors: audience, reach, and implementation timeline. The typical process is simple and repeatable:

  1. Let’s define the objective —what needs to happen at the store: restocking, promoting, tracking, and verifying. This is the starting point that guides everything else.
  2. Let’s map out the project —how many people, on which signs and in which areas, how often, and during which time frames. Let’s size the team based on actual needs.
  3. We carry out our work on-site — our field specialists visit retail locations and perform the agreed-upon tasks, following procedures and standards that we have established together.
  4. We report on the results —we provide you with data and KPIs, so that your business performance remains measurable and comparable over time.

Operations and KPIs Under Control with QPoint

Delegating tasks doesn’t mean losing control—quite the opposite. Thanks to QPoint’s AD HOC module, you can track operations in the field and monitor the custom KPIs you’ve designed together: what’s been done, where, and with what results. It bridges the gap between in-store activities and data analysis, eliminating scattered paperwork and gray areas.

Who it’s for: Branded goods manufacturers and retail chains

Field support is useful for those who need qualified personnel at the point of sale but do not want to (or cannot) manage it in-house. With different objectives, it serves both manufacturers and retailers.

For the brand industry

If you manufacture and sell through large-scale retail chains, our field representatives become your in-store presence: they monitor the shelves, manage product visibility and displays, support sell-out through promotional activities, and verify that agreements and promotions are actually being implemented on the ground. This is the way to expand the reach of your sales network without overburdening its structure—even in retail chains or areas where you currently have no presence.

For Retailers and Distributors

If you manage retail locations, you can use our field teams to verify that product assortments and merchandising plans are being implemented correctly, to conduct mystery shopping at your stores, and to gather feedback from shoppers and staff. It’s an independent and consistent way to understand what’s really happening on the sales floor, store by store.

Why QBerg: A Partner, Not Just a Data Provider

QPlace’s strength lies in the fact that field personnel work within the same ecosystem that generates QBerg’s market intelligence. Point-of-sale monitoring and competitor tracking provide a snapshot of the market; the field support service at the point of sale translates that into concrete action within the store. Data and physical presence go hand in hand: that’s what we mean when we say we’re a partner—not just a supplier.

Q&A

Q: Do you handle the fieldwork, or will you give me a tool to use?

A.: We handle it. QPlace is a service: we assign our field specialists to your retail locations and carry out the agreed-upon tasks. It’s not software that your sales team has to use on their own.

Q: What kinds of products do you carry in your store?

A.: Merchandising and shelf management, in-store promoters, ad hoc surveys and monitoring, mystery shopping, interviews, ethnographic analysis, and surveys. The scope is tailored to the project’s objectives.

Q: Can I activate a service for a limited period only?

A.: Yes. We carry out one-off projects —short-, medium-, or long-term—tailored to your specific needs in terms of personnel, coverage, and timeline.

Q: How do I track activities and results?

A.: Through QPoint’s AD HOC module: track the progress of field operations and monitor the custom KPIs defined together during the project planning phase.
